ScaleNL is excited to announce the second edition of the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator x NBSO LA x ScaleNL: HealthTech Mini-Accelerator

We are pleased to introduce the HealthTech Mini-Accelerator, a tailor-made 5-day program exclusively for Dutch HealthTech startups. This program is a collaborative effort between Cedars-Sinai Accelerator, NBSO Los Angeles, and ScaleNL. The program will run from February 12-16, 2024 in sunny Los Angeles.

About the program

The HealthTech Mini-Accelerator follows a mentorship-driven approach, aimed at assisting early-stage companies at entering the US market and expanding their businesses. You will get the unique opportunity to work with mentors from the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator network and beyond to accelerate the development, growth, and traction of your product and company. Through close collaboration with clinicians, executives, researchers, and other seasoned professionals, you will gain profound insights into the intricate demands of both patients and providers within the US context. Aside from mentorship, participating companies will join specialized workshops and lectures delivered by industry experts.

  • Pre-arranged mentor meetings
  • Lots of feedback and multiple mentor meetings, specific to the company’s solution

  • Insights  into the payor landscape
  • Insights into Cedars-Sinai’s electronic medical record system (Epic) and potential for integration
  • Insights into various operational and clinical departments here at Cedars-Sinai
  • Insights into raising money in the US marketplace
  • General networking with a cross section of subject matter experts and key opinion leaders
  • The participating founder or CEO needs to be available to participate in person for the US program (Los Angeles). Please do not schedule any conflicting meetings during US business hours; please be on time for all mentor meetings
  • Team members of the participating startups can join the program virtually, alongside the founder who will be joining the program in person in Los Angeles

FAQ

What costs should I anticipate for the HealthTech Mini-Accelerator program?

Participating companies do not need to pay a fee to participate in the HealthTech Mini-Accelerator program. The program does not cover travel expenses required for founders to travel to and from the program (such as flights, hotels, ground transportation or meals). Some meals (breakfast and lunch) will be provided by the program, Monday through Friday.

Who is the HealthTech Mini-Accelerator for?

We are looking for:

  • Early stage healthcare startups that are interested in entering the US market
  • Must be founded and headquartered in the Netherlands
  • Must have raised between US$500K – US$5M
  • Must have at least two full-time employees associated with the company
  • Must have plans to enter the US market

The program unfortunately won’t be a great fit for:

  • B2C companies
  • Companies beyond Series A or valuations greater than $15M
