Meet the 10 startups who will be joining the HealthTech Mini-Accelerator 2024 program, brought together by ScaleNL, The Cedars-Sinai Accelerator and NBSO LA.

Amsterdam, NL, January 24, 2024ScaleNL, Cedars-Sinai Accelerator and NBSO Los Angeles, announce the 10 selected early-stage startups that will be participating in the first ScaleNL program focused solely on the innovations in health care – HealthTech Mini-Accelerator 2024 program.

This program, curated by the ScaleNL, Cedars-Sinai Accelerator, and NBSO LA teams, spans three weeks and culminates in a 5-day immersion trip to Los Angeles (February 12-16, 2024). In the thriving Los Angeles tech ecosystem, the 10 companies will meet experts, mentors, and professionals from the HealthTech sector.

The HealthTech Mini-Accelerator employs a mentorship-driven approach, facilitating early-stage companies’ entry into the US market. Participants will collaborate with mentors from the Cedars-Sinai Accelerator network and receive insights into product development, growth, and traction.  Aside from mentorship, participating companies will take part in a curated series of workshops and lectures delivered by industry experts. In person presence allows participants to understand the local business ecosystem, build a US-based network, and gain insights into the US healthcare landscape.

This initiative reflects a joint effort to support the US expansion of promising Dutch startups in the healthcare industry.

 

The TOP10 of the HealthTech Mini-Accelerator:

Manometric 

Manometric makes 3D printed orthoses & prosthetics with a perfect fit, enabling patients to do what they love again. 


QurieGen

QurieGen leads cancer treatment innovation, unraveling cellular mechanisms to drive disease understanding. The advanced platform decodes cellular responses, streamlining lab work and boosting drug development success.


inbiome 

inbiome’s  Molecular Culture® technology enables significantly faster and more accurate bacterial diagnostics. By delivering it within hours, inbiome  accelerates patient recovery and reduces healthcare costs and hospital stays.  


HEMEO

Hemeo builds Clinical Support System predicting coagulation problems. The AI powered technology enables earlier and personalized therapies by consolidating data from multiple sources in a form that doctors can act on early and with confidence. 


IPD

IPD introduces a one-off effective treatment to radically cure prosthetic joint & metal implant infections and get to the heart of the problem, targeting bacterial biofilms.


Preimure

Preimure is developing the world’s first bone pin with a novel antibacterial coating called UBAC to prevent pin-tract infection. The main benefit of this coating is release of antibiotics above the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) up to eight weeks.


Healthplus.ai

Healthplus AI-based decision support system predicts the risk of infection 7 to 30 days after surgeries. It enables surgeons and nurses to deliver proactive surgery care and discharge patients earlier and safely.


Loop Robots 

Loop Robots automates disinfection using its smart robot platform SAM to make hospital-grade disinfection faster, safer, and digitally auditable.  


Cardiomo 

Cardiomo is a powerful and easy solution for monitoring heart health in real time. With its non-invasive wearable technology, it keeps clinicians and loved ones in the loop about a patient’s heart condition.


MLA Diagnostics 

MLA Diagnostics is developing a solution for improved risk prediction of melanoma patients. MLA Dx offers an easy to perform, PCR-based, molecular diagnostic test for primary tumor tissue analysis.
