A Global Platform, Now Rooted in the Netherlands
This expansion follows earlier successful fund launches in London and Singapore, and marks the next phase of growth for the broader Cedars-Sinai Accelerator Investment Fund. Bringing this platform to the Netherlands means Dutch startups now have even greater access to global capital, networks, and opportunities — right from their home base.
A Partnership Years in the Making
This moment is the culmination of over four years of close collaboration between ScaleNL, The Cedars-Sinai Accelerator, and NBSO Los Angeles, working together to build stronger ties between the Dutch and U.S. healthtech ecosystems. Together, we’ve already run multiple editions of the ScaleNL HealthTech Mini Accelerator, supporting Dutch life sciences and healthtech startups on their journey into the U.S. market.
A key milestone in this journey was the signing of an MoU with the Dutch government, represented by Dirk Beljaarts, during his visit to San Francisco earlier this year. That agreement laid the groundwork for deeper strategic cooperation — and this fund launch is a powerful next step.
What This Means for Dutch Startups
With Coronet Ventures Netherlands now live, Dutch founders gain more than just access to funding — they gain a partner with deep sector expertise and an extensive international network. It’s an incredible opportunity for startups ready to scale globally while continuing to build and grow from the Netherlands.
A Word of Thanks
We’re incredibly grateful to our partners at Cedars-Sinai — especially Jim Laur, Dr. Nirdesh Gupta, Emily Mack, and the entire team — for their trust and shared vision. A huge thank you to Michael Dooijes and Peter Post from the ScaleNL team, whose dedication and leadership helped make this possible.
